Clara is a painter, a motivational speaker, an entrepreneur, and an inclusion advocate who experienced a prenatal stroke. As a result, she cannot read, write, or speak like most people. However, she does understand Portuguese, Italian, and English.

I discovered Clara’s joyful spirit online, and was inspired to photograph her 18th Birthday/1,000th Painting Celebration. Her determination to live life to the fullest and positively impact others motivates me to document her amazing journey forward.
